MEET OUR STAFF
Ronald E. Snyder, MD
Dr. Ronald Snyder is fellowship trained in Pediatrics, Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Clinical Neurophysiology. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the American Academy of Pain Management.
Eric Wanner, Director of Physical Therapy, a Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist, received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. He currently has eleven publications. Dr. Wanner has presented at Florida Atlantic University College of Education and at the 2013 & 2014 Learn Green Conference & Expo at Dreyfoos School of Arts about “Take Initiative and Manage Stress.”
He is an American Physical Therapy Association member, a Certified Clinical Instructor through the APTA, and wrote for the NPTE PTA exam. Dr. Wanner also wrestled at The Ohio State University before having to stop after his fourth knee surgery leading him to turn to Physical Therapy for his profession. He is currently the Director of the Physical Therapy Department at Palm Beach Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center.
Michael Sclafani, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS
Michael Sclafani received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Cincinnati before completing a Sports Medicine Residency at the Cleveland Clinic. During residency he served as the Team Physical Therapist for John Carroll University and St. Edward’s High School, in addition to working with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Indians, and other international, professional, and collegiate athletes. After completing residency Dr. Sclafani worked in the Sports Medicine Center within Children’s Hospital Colorado in Denver, Colorado, allowing him to subspecialize in adolescent sports medicine. During his time there he also served as the Team Physical Therapist for the Queen City Rams, a men’s rugby club, as a consultant for the Denver PRO rugby team, and as the Vice Chair for the Sports Medicine group for the state of Colorado.
Dr. Sclafani has published twice internationally and is a reviewer for the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy as well as Physical Therapy in Sport. He is a board certified Sports Clinical Specialist with areas of professional interest focused in sports medicine, the hip, rugby, Crossfit, sports performance, and research. He is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, and played rugby for 7 years before a myriad of injuries led him to transition to the sidelines as a medical professional. In his spare time he enjoys paddle boarding, snorkeling, and competing in local Crossfit competitions.
Tomita Lawrence, MOL
Tomita joined our practice in May of this year. She is an experienced business administrator with over eleven years in the health care industry, managing various types of medical offices. Tomita earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Florida International University in Miami, Florida, and her Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She is an avid animal lover and enjoys her time with her two rescued dogs, her family, gardening and reading.
Palm Beach Sports Medicine is proud to have four talented, experienced, and dedicated Medical Assistants on our staff. These women are integral members of our medical team, and their skills and knowledge are invaluable.
Our Radiography Department is responsible for taking x-rays and other radio-graphic impressions so that the images depict conditions for the physician to make a proper diagnosis. These highly trained technicians bring valuable expertise to our team.
